Why Does Density Matter?
EVA foam density (kg/m³) directly affects the material's hardness, impact absorption capacity and weight. Choosing the right density determines your product's performance.
Density Ranges and Applications
- 20–40 kg/m³: Light packaging, swimming boards, soft padding
- 40–80 kg/m³: Car mats, tatami flooring, furniture padding
- 80–120 kg/m³: Footwear soles, sports equipment, midsoles
- 120–200 kg/m³: High-impact applications, boxing padding
Relationship with Shore C Hardness
As density increases, Shore C hardness value generally increases as well. At Atami EVA we produce across a wide range from Shore C 20 to 65.
Request Samples
You can request samples to determine the ideal density for your application. Our technical team will recommend the most suitable formulation for your needs.
